Money in AI doesn't flow in one direction — it circles. Cloud providers invest in AI labs that spend on compute right back to those same providers. Chipmakers fund the buyers of their chips. The same dollar appears multiple times across the ecosystem.
Each sphere is a company, sized by market cap. Arrows show real capital flows: investments, GPU purchases, cloud spend commitments, and debt financing.
Hi, this is Skylar — ex data scientist, now animator/motion designer.
This is a fun personal project to experiment with vibe coding and data visualization. There is no doubt that AI tools are incredibly powerful, however, the circular financing within the AI industry pumping up the bubble is concerning. So I had this ironic idea of using AI tools to visualize this bubble in formation.
I used Claude Code for building this website and writing scrapers, and the Claude API to parse all text data. Market cap through Yahoo Finance API.
This means the parsed data could be false — please hit Report Inaccuracy if you catch Claude hallucinating! Feel free to submit news about new collaborations too.
